No weapon formed against me

bible isaiah

“No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And this is their vindication from Me,” says the Lord.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54:17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

  • According to this verse the implication is that weapons will be formed against
  •  This old English which translates that enemies will come against you
  • It could be the enemy of debt, disease, chaos, unjust treatment, slow business, trials, attacks by the devil
  • But none of them will defeat you. They will come but they will fail & you will come on top
  • Remember this verse is not telling us that trials will NOT come but rather that they will not prosper
  • Furthermore, when people or the enemy accuse us we have a responsibility to refute those accusations.
  • When disease comes & tries to make your house its home – you have to rise up & refute that -(By his stripes you are healed)
  • When lack comes your way, you reject it. – (God supplies all my needs according to his riches in glory)
  • When your children or spouse act up, refuse it. (My spouse is a fruitful vine around the house & the children are like flourishing olive trees at the table)
  • We have a role to play. God is not going to speak on our behalf but he will fight off the weapons sent at you.
  • This guaranteed victory is our heritage as servants. This was prior to Jesus when Isaiah wrote this.
  • In Jesus we are more than servants, we are sons. We have been promoted. Jesus is the head of the body of Christ and we are seated in heavenly places with him.
  • We have more access now than before. We have delegated authority. We are representatives of Christ as Paul put it.
  • Lastly, God wants to distinguish us from all people. He says this is the vindication meaning I am approving who you are as my son/servant. He wants to show the world that we are his.
  • To vindicate is to show someone is free of blame. God is saying I will do that for you. Do not try to fight them or show your innocence, I will. As he did for Israel against the Egyptians. For David against Goliath. For Esther against Mohave.
